Tres Amigos Cantina : Mexican Kitchen and Bar was established in 2008 by three friends.
Yes, you guessed it, that's why
we're called Tres Amigos!
Former location of Mexican-restaurant chain Don Pablos, Tres Amigos reopened in Februrary of 2008 after Don Pablos closed its
doors on December 26th, 2007. The day after Christmas all the employees lost their jobs, and the community lost a great place to eat, drink
and have a good time.
Larry Fraioli, a real estate businessman from New York decided to help turn a bad situation into a good one, and worked with the 3 former managers (Joe
Morales, Anthony Mundi, Andrew Purdy)
of Don Pablos to create a new restaurant and reestablish a hub of great food and great people in the community. About 80 percent of the former staff
regained their jobs and now we are serving better food, better drinks, and having a great time.
We'd also like to mention that we couldn't have reopened without the help of the community. Many people from the Tampa Bay area
used their time, money, and hard work to help us reopen. Thank you!
